Among their valuable contributions, I think, was leaving a written legacy-- books, diaries, notes etc and photos-- for us besides, the obvious: curbing piracy, opening up the land and such. If not for them Sabah would have very little written history, if any.Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610228804345285508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419042736661556334.post-51676595629078485362011-07-24T09:39:14.773+08:002011-07-24T09:39:14.773+08:00This ia a really nice post Tina. If I were the Hattons, I would never send my son to an unknown territory. I know that sounds very selfish but I just don't have the courage/ heart to do it. The Hattons were indeed selfless people.Lizeewonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14385910273510040946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4419042736661556334.post-68050209706047497222011-07-23T19:33:15.977+08:002011-07-23T19:33:15.977+08:00Handsome looking fellow. In some ways, I envy these adventurers of old who had the privilege to see Sabah of old but then again, I don't think I have the stomach to kill or be killed. I'm grateful that our ancestors survived the old days so that we today, can write and dream about how it is during the old days :P.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15136354003276435786noreply@blogger.com
