MERRY-MAKING TIME IN SABAH

It’s time to celebrate Tadau Kaamatan. Time to participate in half-forgotten traditional games and sports.

Time for gong-beating competitions...

My senior-citizen friends practising. (Click on pic to enlarge.)

Kulintangan: a set of little gongs.
Beating a rhythm on the drum
Time for beauty pageants and voting for the next 'Unduk Ngadau'.

Time to be merry and have a singgarung.

Be safe! Don’t drink and drive! Cheers!

  3. Hi STC... Thanks for visiting. I found the names of the gongs interesting. All long words but the first syllable in all is repeated...sasa... nana...etc!
